Career:
Ian joined the Board in September 2020 as a non-executive Director with responsibility for Safeguarding and Health & Safety and before that he was the interim Head at Mount House School from January to August 2020, when he oversaw the establishment of the Virtual Learning programme and an excellent set of A level and GCSE exam results. Prior to that Ian was Head at St Dunstan’s College Lewisham for six years and Brentwood School in Essex for fifteen years where he led the School through an ‘Excellent’ ISI inspection in every category and increased the student roll to over 1600. He was a member of the Admiralty Board for four years to 2004 and a Governor of St Aubyn’s Prep School for ten years to 2018 and recently retired as Chairman of the Brentwood Theatre Trust.
In his spare time Ian plays tennis, golf and is a keen cricketer and is President of Demijohns Cricket Club.
